  • For the first time in my adult life, I am really proud of my country…

And I'm not just quoting the great Michelle Obama, I am relating, understanding, empathizing, and genuinely feeling what she means. Literally this is the first time I have felt this sense of pride to be an American.

And if you suddenly find yourself humming along with the Lee Greenwood song "God Bless the U.S.A." after years of nationalistic apathy, WELCOME TO THE MOVEMENT!

Love of country is something that has eluded many Black Americans, but in the last several months, the citizens of this nation have collectively, and often individually, shown their truly inclusive spirit. Making the sentiment of patriotism a possibility for many Blacks.

With our country on the verge of electing our first Black President, we (i.e. Americans of African, European, Asian, Latin, Arab, Island, and all other descents) are showing that we are ready to come together.

The mission of The Black Patriot Movement is to promote patriotism and social, civic, and political activism, particularly in the Black communities.

This is a movement, meant not to exclude any other races, but meant to shine as a beacon to lead Black Americans home…
